           Delos Archaeological Site - Grotto of Revelation - Exiled from Ephesus, St. John retired to Patmos, spending 18 months on the island. In this grotto - today a beautifully ornamented chapel - he supposedly received the visions resulting in the Book of Revelation. The chapel displays a stone that the saint used as his pillow.
           Monastery of St. John - Founded in 1088, the monastery perches on a hillside above Chora. A single entrance leads through the 59 foot (18m) high walls. Your tour views the elaborate frescoes and visits the Christodoulos chapel. The monastery´s old Treasury is today a museum displaying a stunning collection of jeweled chalices, crowns, crucifixes, vestments and manuscripts.
           Simandis House - The 300 - year - old house is superb example of island architecture. It is also home to an extraordinary antiques collection including splendid gilded mirrors, silverware, paintings, rustic chandeliers and exquisite brocades.
           Nunnery of Evangelismos - View the lovely small church and see the Nuns hard at work crocheting tablecloths and doilies in the traditional manner.
