           Rhodes Old Town - Your guided walking tour of the old, walled medieval city takes you along stone paved lanes past grand medieval structures, each recalling the Knights of St. John. Learn about the town's fascinating past as you walk along the Knights Road, one of the oldest and most magnificent in the town. Built upon the course of the ancient street that has existed since 408 B.C., it leads to the Palace of the Grand Masters, where a fortress was purposely built to dominate the town and its harbors.
           Palace of the Grand Masters - Begun in the early 14th century, the palace was destroyed in 1856 and rebuilt in 1939. Your visit here will take you through this dramatic structure, featuring ancient mosaics from the island of Kos, as well as a monumental marble staircase that leads to the upper floor, where you can take in the panoramic view of the city.
           The Acropolis of Lindos - Walk through the narrow streets of Lindos Village and up the summit of the Acropolis to see the magnificent remains of past civilizations. Marvel at the 4th - century BC Doric Temple of Athena Lindia, a double - winged portico, a Byzantine church and the fortifications of the Knights of St. John, including the remains of the Governor's quarters. The view is truly panoramic and at the very foot of the acropolis is St. Paul's Bay, where the Apostle is said to have sought shelter during a storm. Below you will see the clustered, old whitewashed houses and narrow streets of this delightful village, a popular haunt of artists and writers.
